Can horses help people with disabilities and other psychological disorders?
Horses are a lot of things to a lot of people. For some, it is the thrill of watching a Thoroughbred win a race. For others, the excitement of jumping. Others still, a trail ride through the forest or mountains is a serene a place as possible.
But equine therapy, whether it is through hippotherapy (physical therapy on horseback) or therapeutic riding, can make a difference in the life of a child or adult with autism, anxiety, or PTSD.
Centerpoint Cavvy hopes to offer in the future, a place where people with disabilities might come to spend a few hours on the farm, walk through paddocks, smell the fresh country air, groom a horse. But we need your support to make this dream a reality. Below is a link to how horse therapy can help.
